What is gambling addiction?
Gambling addiction refers to the behaviour of a person who can no longer control his or her own gambling behaviour. The focus of their life is then only the urge to gamble.
Gambling determines the behaviour of a person affected. In the foreground are the circling thoughts about the next opportunity to gamble and a possible (big) win, the procurement of money to finance the gambling and how the losses suffered (financial/social) can be covered up.
